Shareholders change due to the sale to the Alcatel group, with a new name SDS Benelux

2001
A new change from the shareholders, integration into the Wire division of Nexans.

2002
Relocation to a new building in Relegem, with a bigger warehouse. A fire in September 2002, in a nearby building forced us to destroy all our stock due to water and soot damage due to the intervention of the fire brigade. This catastrophe braked us in our run up to the development of a European network within the Nexans group.

2003
Due to the overall bad economic situation as well as the repositioning of Nexans wire we are forced to move to Huizingen and our warehouse to Paris ( Cergy)

2005
Nexans made a joint venture deal with Essex for the sale of 60 % magnet wire activities.

2006
In this year the events followed each other very quickly
• 15 th of March Daniel Jacobs signed a MBO in order to buy SDS Benelux from Nexans.
• 15 th of April relocation into our new utilities of 1000 m² located in Groot Bijgaarden,
   nearby the most important highway junction of Belgium.
• 1th of June setting up of our magnet wire stock, round and flat, as well as all the other
   products in order to assure the service to our customers, that was ours before the events
   from the last 2 years.
• 29 th of September an open day was organised in presence of several favoured suppliers.
